Cillë aka Cecilie Maria Nielsen is a Danish-born, NYC-based songwriter, topliner, and vocalist; a pop rock powerhouse who crafts infectious melodies, writes lyrics to entertain and inspire, and loves all things boldly flamboyant.

With her new EP, ‘, but you can call me silly,’ Cillë shares a story of victory; of making U-turns in art and in life; of getting lost to return stronger, but also a little more unhinged; of the kind of crazy you become if you stare at your own belly button long enough to finally start embracing what’s there. ‘, but you can call me silly’ is a roaringly loud glam rock celebration of an artist’s life.

Cillë has been hailed “a new star in the glam rock sky” by radio station Dandy’s Stardust Dive and routinely featured by tastemakers like Cheers to the Vikings, glamglare, Ghettoblaster, Adam’s World, and many more.

Before embarking on her solo and more songwriting-focused career (2011-2016), Cillë was the bass-playing lead singer of Danish rock trio Taras with whom she released one EP and two double-singles, performed several arena shows; saw commercial radio airplay; and made numerous TV appearances including popular Danish lifestyle show ‘So ****ing Special’ on Denmark’s public broadcasting network, Danmarks Radio (DR), and a commercial for Royal Beer.
